The elementary Religious Education students use the RCL textbook series, Faith First Legacy Edition.
This series teaches the pillars of the Catechism – Creed, Sacraments, Morality, and Prayer in every grade level.

The focus question, “What Difference Does Faith Make in My Life?” is reflected in all these units:

  • We Believe: The Creed
  • We Worship: Liturgy and Sacraments
  • We Live: Christian Morality
  • We Pray: Christian Prayer
  • We Celebrate: the Liturgical Year

Formation for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion begins in Grade 1.

Adult volunteers are needed as catechists.
They are the core of our Faith Formation program.

Classes meet approximately twenty times per year for one hour at Most Precious Blood Church.

    - Preparation time requires approximately one hour per week,
plus Virtus Training (see below for details),
and other opportunities for training and enrichment.

    - Other opportunities to serve include:

substitute teachers
aides (a physical presence in the classroom – an “extra pair of hands”)
administrative help
hall monitors (a physical presence in the hall during class time)

Virtus Training

All new volunteers working with youths
must have this 2.5 hours of training!

For the 2009 - 2010 school year,
details will be published here
as soon as they have been finalized.
